Computer/Software Engineering Intern

As an intern, you will support the Software Engineering team by designing reliable software, developing and testing vehicle control systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2025 internship. Summer housing is available to interns whose permanent address is greater than 50 miles from their work location

Responsibilities

• Write quality, maintainable, object-oriented C++ software
• Develop and maintain software for various vehicle control functions and diagnostics
• Identify and mitigate vehicle operation and maintenance risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure software aligns with vehicle requirements and performance goals
• Prepare and maintain the software documentation as necessary
• Test vehicle specific software to ensure software quality and identify potential issues
• Participate in peer reviews and other engineering activities
