Summary

Join VetsEZ as a Configuration and Release Manager Engineer/DevOps and contribute to our growing remote team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and streamlining automated build and release infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role involves close collaboration with multi-functional teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, 5+ years of software CM experience, and proficiency with GitHub and Jira. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with health applications, ServiceNow, and government environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • 5+ years software CM experience
  • 5+ years working with GitHub
  • SME at navigating GitHub, applying Release Tags, managing documents and other artifacts, access management
  • Proficient with markdown language
  • Attention to detail and ability to consistently complete traceability documentation tasks in GitHub
  • 5+ years working with Jira
  • Navigate and track releases
  • Intermediate HealthShare/Cache Object Script development knowledge to help developer team leads resolve Jenkins automated build and deployment problems
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews with Scrum Teams
  • Experience writing process documentation using Word, wikis, PowerPoint Presentation, CM Plan, work Instructions

Responsibilities

  • Work closely and communicate deployments, problem resolution status, and daily work status regularly with VDIF RTE(s), Configuration Manager(s)
  • Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
  • Identify and maintain the original configuration of requirements, design, software, and related documentation
  • Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software
  • Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration
  • Support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software
  • Provide attention to detail and consistently complete traceability documentation tasks in GitHub
  • Maintain and update VDIF-EP DevOps and CM GitHub wiki pages as needed
  • Provide first line support for GitHub issues
  • Audit specific issue types for data requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CM for health applications
  • Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW)
  • Experience working in VA or other government environment
