Summary

Join our team as a Video Creator and produce high-quality video content for our clients' channels. You will be responsible for creating a variety of videos, including tutorials, product demonstrations, and general WordPress content. The role requires hands-on experience in video production and editing, along with strong communication and on-camera skills. You will work remotely with flexible hours and a flexible salary range. Success in this role depends on your ability to create engaging content that drives sales and conversions, using a data-driven approach. The position is permanent and full-time, though part-time options may be considered.

Requirements

• Have basic experience of working with the WordPress CMS
• Have proven experience of producing and editing quality videos for publication online
• Have experience creating screencasts
• Have the ability to create images to illustrate your videos, including basic image editing such as cropping and sizing images, and opening and closing slides
• Have familiarity with YouTube trends and conventions, with the ability to utilize these techniques to increase subscribers, views, and overall engagement
• Have perfect spoken English with a clear accent (completely fluent if English is not your first language)
• Have good on-camera and narration skills
• Have an engaging, enthusiastic personality that will capture the viewer’s interest and make them excited about our products
• Have the ability to create videos that drive outcomes, translating software features into compelling videos
• Have the ability to describe technical software in a clear and accessible way
• Have the ability to present in a relaxed but professional tone, balancing promotion without appearing too sales-driven
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Be relaxed and confident in front of the camera

Responsibilities

• Create videos for our client's channels, including ‘How to’ tutorials about plugins, product demonstrations, and general videos about WordPress or other popular plugins
• Take care of all stages of the video production process, from concept to publication
• Implement a video strategy and SEO goals provided by our Head of Content, or take the lead on research and strategy
• Produce high-quality content at a high volume with minimal supervision
• Follow a data-driven video creation cycle, seeking evidence to inform planning, implementing videos, and evaluating impact for ongoing improvements
• Create a video content calendar
• Produce and edit engaging educational, general, and brand video content
• Work with customers to obtain video testimonials
• Create supporting images to illustrate videos, such as opening and closing slides
• Create featured images for videos or work with our designer
• Produce other types of video such as video tutorials and animated gifs showcasing our plugins
• Perform SEO keyword research and analytics to identify ideas for new videos
• Analyze the impact of existing videos and look for new opportunities
• Create your own featured images for the videos
• Network with other companies to grow our presence across other YouTube channels

Preferred Qualifications

• Have advanced-level WordPress experience (coding experience is not required)
• Have proven experience in creating and implementing video strategy, with a strong instinct for what makes video content succeed online
• Have proven experience of creating videos about WordPress plugins and themes
• Have experience of using analytics and other tools to evaluate the impact of videos and identify new opportunities
• Have the ability to create more advanced graphics and animated gifs
• Have experience of managing and evaluating YouTube ads
• Have networking skills, with the ability to perform effective outreach and link building work, nurturing relationships with influential Vloggers
