Summary

Join Persado as a Freelance Arabic Content Localizer & Proofreader, focusing on the Eastern Gulf dialect of Saudi Arabia. Collaborate with brand strategists, craft compelling content, and ensure flawless proofreading adhering to brand voice and legal guidelines. You will work on content harmonization across dialects and support various marketing channels. The role requires 2-4 years of copywriting/proofreading experience in B2C digital marketing, familiarity with strict brand guidelines, and excellent Arabic language skills. Client-facing experience and knowledge of various marketing channels are preferred. Availability within 10:00-19:00 Greek time is essential.

Requirements

• Exceptional command of Arabic and the Eastern Gulf dialect, with a deep understanding of usage in regions along the Arabian Gulf
• Flawless writing and proofreading skills tailored to the Eastern dialect (Gulf dialect), with strong attention to detail and a commitment to content quality
• 2-4 years of copywriting/proofreading experience
• Experience in B2C digital marketing or advertising
• Familiarity with brands that have a strict tone of voice and legal guidelines
• Awareness of cultural references, media, and local expressions common to Eastern Gulf Saudi Arabia
• Ability to adopt and maintain brand voice across different clients
• Experience with multiple marketing channels (paid media, email, web, SMS, direct mail)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Available as a freelancer within 10:00 – 19:00 Greek local time
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Efficient, proactive, adaptable, and able to work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Brand Content Strategists to understand client requirements and campaign objectives
• Assist in crafting compelling content that inspires action, ensuring adherence to brand voice and tone
• Carefully proofread and edit content to ensure flawless spelling, grammar, and syntax for the Gulf dialect-speaking audience
• Ensure that client revisions and tone of voice guidelines are accurately implemented
• Ensure compliance with our clients' complex brand guidelines and legal requirements
• Support with content harmonization where overlap with other regional dialects exists

Preferred Qualifications

• A background in Arabic Language, Translation, Linguistics, Journalism, or a related field is highly preferred
• Knowledge of other Arabic dialects (Hijazi, Najdi, Northern, or Southern) is a strong plus
• Knowledge of CMS, HTML, graphic design, and email platforms (preferred)
• Client-facing experience is a plus
