Summary
Join Humi, a Canadian employment platform, and become our Content Writer. Collaborate with a cross-functional marketing team to create high-impact content that drives business objectives. Your focus will be increasing Employment Hero’s market share of voice, developing executive-level content, and driving messaging through keyword strategy. You will create engaging blog posts, articles, and campaigns, craft thought leadership pieces, and provide commentary on industry trends. You will also work with other teams to bring product updates to market and support PR initiatives. Data-driven storytelling and analytics will be used to optimize content strategies. This role requires a journalist's mindset and strong writing and editing skills.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience working as a journalist or in a editorial/content role in a business
- A journalist's mindset—curious, deadline-driven, and able to turn complex topics into clear, engaging stories
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt to different formats and audiences
- A self-starter mentality—comms moves fast, and you know there's always a story to tell
- Project management skills to juggle multiple initiatives while delivering high-quality work
- You are a strong communicator with stellar relationship management skills
- You are team-oriented and can continue to thrive while working independently in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Increase Employment Hero’s market share of voice: Collaborate with the Communications Lead to establish Employment Hero as a leading voice in the market
- Develop executive-level content: Create high-quality content for executive communications
- Drive messaging through keyword strategy: Achieve targeted keyword messaging and measure success through keyword performance
- Quality, creative content - Develop engaging blog posts, articles, and campaigns that drive business impact
- Executive content support - Help craft thought leadership pieces and messaging for key company voices
- Newsjacking & commentary - Stay ahead of the curve, crafting timely takes on industry trends and regulatory shifts
- Innovative content formats - Experiment with new ways to tell stories, from video to podcasts and beyond
- Work with the rest of the Marketing team, Product Marketing, Benefits, and Sales teams to bring product updates and launches to market
- Support with PR initiatives and content needs
- Data-driven storytelling - Use analytics to measure content performance and optimize future content strategies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SEO, editorial, or corporate comms (B2B SaaS or employment-related industries a plus)
