Requirements
- Earned doctorate in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA-D), or other approved areas, with a valid BCBA or BCBA-D certification
- Significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to Applied Behavior Analysis, including experience in its practice
- Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students in a distance learning environment
Responsibilities
- Receive specific training from Walden University in teaching techniques, use of the electronic learning platform, policies, procedures, and degree programs
- Teach assigned courses using the Blackboard platform, interacting with students within the platform
- Be in the classroom 3-4 days per week and hold a minimum of two (2) office hours per week
- Complete postings in a timely manner in accordance with the Faculty Handbook or other established criteria
- Verify the accuracy of student postings and submissions
- Provide feedback and grades to students through Blackboard
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience at the degree level of the program
- Teaching, advising and mentoring; commitment to the promotion of applied research and the recruitment and development of a diverse faculty; excellent leadership, communication, team, and human relations skills
Benefits
- Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter or Semester, depending on type of course taught and length of course
- Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter, depending on type of course taught and length of course
- Opportunities for dissertation/doctoral study committee chair positions, research reviewing, and dissertation and doctoral study mentoring
- Remote work option (if over 50 miles from specified Adtalem offices)
