Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage the existing bookkeeping and assume key financial responsibilities. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4, Tier 1, or Tier 2 firm) or industry finance
- Proven hands-on accounting skills (debits/credits, reconciliations, month-end close)
- Experience with AI-driven finance tools and automation
- Experience with financial tools (QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, Stripe; TriNet a plus)
- Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a knack for optimizing financial operations
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with leadership
Responsibilities
- Own general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close (QuickBooks)
- Oversee payroll processing and financial recordkeeping (TriNet)
- Manage expense tracking, subscription audits, and financial reporting
- Handle commission structures and Stripe revenue reporting
- Support tax filings, audits, and investor reporting
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights
- Advise senior leadership with financial recommendations that drive business success
- Assist in budgeting & forecasting to optimize financial planning and resource allocation
- Partner with the CFO to prepare for future funding rounds and/or a liquidity event
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Oversee insurance and financial compliance processes
- Improve financial systems and workflows to support company growth
Preferred Qualifications
CPA preferred (or strong financial expertise with a deep understanding of GAAP & compliance)
