Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or higher in accounting / finance / business
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of cloud-based bookkeeping and other accounting software
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statement accounts
- A self-starter who has the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to structure thinking in a logical manner and clearly communicate ideas
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting including month-end close procedures
- Review operating expenses to ensure proper classification and cut-off
- Perform daily account reconciliations
- Posting journal entries as needed
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Assisting the management team in annual financial statement audits
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly financial results
- Doing other fun things accountants do and various miscellaneous tasks to assist the finance team
- Regulatory report preparation
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or successful completion of CFE
- A working knowledge of IFRS and financial modelling
- Busy season experience in external audit
- Experience using Netsuite
