Summary

Join Rackspace Technology's Legal team in Mexico as a fluent bilingual Corporate Counsel. Provide commercial transactions support to the global supply chain business unit. Work closely with the supply chain and other internal client business units across all regions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on critical supply chain relationships and strategic commercial arrangements. You will contribute to Rackspace Technology’s multi-billion dollar technology business. The position reports to the Global Legal Team based in the US.

Requirements

  • JD degree (or international equivalent law degree), excellent academic background, and an active license to practice law in Mexico
  • 3-7 years’ relevant post qualification legal experience, and in-house experience preferred (preferably within a similarly sized global technology company)
  • Background and experience in all matters referred to in the Key Accountabilities section
  • Proactive and effective communicator with clients and colleagues, including excellent listening skills
  • Proven team player and collaborator, with the ability to work with colleagues to deliver exceptional results
  • Flexible approach, with proven global perspective
  • Ability to simplify, problem solve (including the ability to work with ambiguous situations), multitask and work effectively against deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously with appropriate escalation to management
  • Excellent commercial and strategic business judgment
  • Familiarity with and passion for technology and technology-related issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven environment
  • Fluency in written and verbal Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Act as a legal business partner and valued legal advisor to the global supply chain business unit, and to their client business units
  • Structure, draft and revise standard supply chain policy and templates for legal best practices, providing strategic legal guidance and training to the global supply chain business unit, and developing and improving legal operations for supply chain contracting including industry-leading self-service legal resources
  • Provide legal account management and advice in relation to Rackspace Technology’s key business partnerships within the supply chain area
  • Lead legal review and negotiation of complex supply chain contracts
  • Advise on supply chain legal compliance and governance (including privacy/data protection, export control, and anti-corruption), working closely with the Global Compliance team and internal business units
  • Assist with pre-litigation disputes, and work with the Global Litigation team in relation to litigation, in the supply chain area
  • Provide support, due diligence, and integration advice for M&A transactions involving supply chain issues
