Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as an FX Trader is required or similar role in financial markets with strong knowledge of global economics, interest rates, and foreign exchange markets
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- You must bring with you a book of established clients
- Strong proficiency in trading platforms, charting tools, and financial software
- Experience in executing trades on platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary trading systems
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills for the ability to make quick decisions
- Exceptional organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive, high-energy self-started with an ability to work in an environment with deadlines and high pressure
- Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends
Responsibilities
- Research and build a network of prospects to attract new business using a variety of communication methods (phone, email, in-person meetings)
- Leverage your industry network to open new opportunities for Mercantile Exchange by identifying potential new clients; provide industry insight and market awareness of Mercantile Exchange
- Foster strong relationships with C-suite decision makers to sell them on Mercantile Exchange's services
- Acquire, onboard and build trusted relationships with new clients
- Provide a high level of client service to your existing client base to retain and grow your portfolio
- Work closely with the wider team and report on sales progress
- Maintain industry expertise through training and professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (French and English) and Multilingual skills are an asset but not a requirement
