Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, counseling, or a related field
• Certified Credit Counselor designation from a recognized institution (e.g., NFCC, AFCPE) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit counseling, financial coaching, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of credit reporting agencies, credit scoring models, consumer credit laws (e.g., FCRA, FDCPA), and financial counseling best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in an accessible manner
• Empathetic, patient, and skilled at building trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized credit counseling sessions via phone, email, chat, or video addressing users' specific financial situations and concerns
• Review and analyze users' credit reports to identify areas for improvement and develop customized action plans
• Educate users on credit principles, debt management, budgeting, and financial planning to promote long-term financial health
• Collaborate with the content team to create educational materials, webinars, and workshops on credit-building topics
• Work closely with the product team to relay user feedback and contribute to app or tooling enhancements
