Crypto Investment Analyst/Associate

Summary

Join the Institute of Free Technology (IFT) Investments team as an Investment Analyst and drive investment decisions across a liquid token portfolio. You will leverage strong analytical skills and deep practical crypto market understanding to conduct market analysis, research trends and protocols, identify investment opportunities, develop financial models, and support portfolio management. The role involves building industry relationships, serving as a subject matter expert, and participating in investment committee discussions. A minimum of 3 years of crypto investment experience is required, and a concise cover letter detailing past investments, market views, and investment style is mandatory. Competitive base pay ($80-100k), a discretionary team bonus, flexible work, and potential for discretionary capital allocation and building your own track record are offered.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years crypto investment experience (using protocols & trading/investing)
• Must write a concise cover letter, briefly describing crypto investment experience: Examples of past crypto investments (successes and lessons learned), Current market view/thesis and specific projects of interest, Preferred approach/style of investing and focus areas (e.g. sectors: DeFi, infra. e.g. chains ETH, SOL etc)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis across global macro and digital assets
• Research macro trends, protocols, and emerging sector narratives
• Identify and evaluate high-potential investment opportunities
• Develop financial models and valuation frameworks
• Create detailed investment memoranda for committee review
• Support trading & execution for approved strategies & deals
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics with monthly performance reports
• Track investment objectives and rebalancing needs
• Maintain detailed investment documentation
• Build and maintain key industry relationships
• Serve as subject matter expert on market trends
• Support senior investment managers in strategy execution
• Participate in investment committee discussions
