Summary
Join Newsela's Customer Solutions team as a Curricular Solutions Architect, bridging curriculum and instruction using engaging content. Build relationships with districts, architecting solutions that meet their needs. Collaborate with sales and other teams to champion client needs and design scalable systems. Leverage data, research, and creativity to create delightful user experiences. Engineer content opportunities across Newsela's products and services, demonstrating value to customers and expanding the Total Addressable Market. Align content sales strategy with product strategy and create business cases for custom content.
Requirements
- Have 3 + years of teaching experience
- Have an Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or other related field
- Have experience in a sales or sales adjacent role
- Have experience designing quality instructional resources, preferably in a cross-curricular capacity across ELA, Social Studies and Science
- Have experience identifying instructional needs and building consensus on the just-right solution with multiple stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Articulate bridges that connect Curriculum to Instruction by using Newsela’s engaging, authentic and differentiated content
- Build relationships with districts in your territory, each with distinct content and instructional needs
- Apply your pedagogical expertise and consultative skills to architect curricular solutions that delight districts, teachers, and students by enabling engaging and aligned learning to take place in classrooms
- Champion client needs, requests and untapped opportunities, as identified by Sales, Marketing, Content, and Product leadership teams
- Design and implement scalable systems that satisfy market demands by better meeting clients needs in less time
- Engineer content opportunities of Newsela’s off-the-shelf products, custom content products, and curriculum design services
- Work with customers to demonstrate how our solutions can empower districts and educators to achieve their desired outcomes
- Expand Newsela’s Total Addressable Market by identifying strategic regional, state and district content priorities and needs
- Identify and create synergies between existing content solutions and future opportunities
- Identify specific district content opportunities such as RFPs and other key account specific work
- Align content sales strategy with Newsela’s Product strategy
- Create content investment business cases for prospective custom content opportunities
- Work in a pre-sales capacity to support our customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates in MT or PT are preferred
- Preference for candidates with a background in educational technology
Benefits
- Base salary: $95,000 - $100,000
- On-target commission (OTC): $20,000
- On-target earnings (OTE): $115,000 - $120,000
- Total compensation for this role also incentive stock options and benefits
