Summary

Join Alliance as our Head of Custody and Reporting and oversee all aspects of our venture funds’ digital asset custody and portfolio reporting operations. You will lead on-chain custody and operations for all Alliance funds’ digital assets, including claiming, sweeping assets, initiating payments, staking, and managing service provider relationships. Responsibilities also include leading quarterly portfolio reporting and valuation, monitoring portfolio events, providing audit and tax support, and supporting investor communications. You will collaborate with senior leadership on the long-term development of custody and reporting tools. This mid-to-senior level role requires 3+ years of experience in crypto portfolio management/reporting and on-chain operations at a hedge and/or venture fund. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in spreadsheets, excellent AI prompting skills, and experience with remote work tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in crypto portfolio management/reporting and on-chain operations at a hedge and/or venture fund (experience in both is preferred)
  • Expert in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel and Google Sheets) with proven abilities in advanced formulas, pivot tables, data-cleaning, workflow automation and crypto-specific use cases
  • Excellent AI prompting skills
  • Experience with remote work tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Hubspot, and Notion
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Stable and securing living environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and high agency (self-driven with keen ability to identify areas of improvement and bring ideas/projects through to completion)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-chain custody and ops for all Alliance funds’ digital assets including claiming, sweeping assets (from “hot” to “cold” wallets), initiating and signing on-chain payments, staking, onboarding/managing key service provider platforms and relationships, and overseeing transaction authorization policies and private key recovery/disaster planning
  • Lead quarterly portfolio reporting and valuation, monitor and log portfolio events (e.g., realizations, new fundraises, etc.) in real time with monthly synthesis, provide audit and tax support, and support investor communications regarding portfolio and performance (e.g., contributing to LP letters and producing investor-specific deliverables)
  • Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the long-term build out of new custody and reporting tooling leveraging automation and new databases

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in SQL or Python
  • Experience in trade execution (both on- and off-chain)
