Summary
Join Crosslake, a firm supporting changemakers in buying, building, and running better technology, as a highly technical Cybersecurity Practitioner. This US-based remote position is ideal for someone with experience in Managed IT or Security Services Providers (MSP/MSSP). You will implement and configure cybersecurity tools, harden systems (Active Directory, Office365/G Suite, cloud platforms), deploy and manage security solutions (firewalls, EDR/MDR), and support security transformation projects. You will work with cross-functional teams and private equity companies to assess technology risks and vulnerabilities. The role requires strong cybersecurity engineering expertise and proven experience in implementation and transformation projects. Apprenticeship on initial projects is expected, followed by independent project leadership.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity engineering
- Proven experience in implementation and transformation projects
- Familiarity with a broad range of security tools and platforms
- Be an apprentice engineer for your first 2 projects and then be willing and able to drive a project on your own to successful completion
Responsibilities
- Implement and configure cybersecurity tools and technologies
- Harden systems and environments such as Active Directory, Office365/G Suite, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Deploy and manage firewalls, EDR/MDR solutions, and other endpoint protection technologies
- Support security transformation projects for clients
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive technical execution of security programs
- Work with private equity companies and other investment firms to help them understand the existing technology risks and vulnerabilities that exist in their environment or portfolio
Preferred Qualifications
Background in MSP or MSSP environments preferred
