Summary

Join Dark Wolf Solutions as a Cyber Security/DevOps Onboarding Specialist and play a critical role in the BMC3 Application Software Factory. This position requires close collaboration with technical teams and vendors to securely deploy mission-critical applications on space vehicle platforms. You will leverage your expertise in cloud security (AWS and Kubernetes), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines to onboard and secure applications. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse teams. The role involves training vendors, maintaining documentation, and optimizing processes for efficiency and scalability. This remote position offers a competitive salary and is based out of several Dark Wolf Hub locations.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Have 4+ years of experience in cloud-based application security, particularly with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Have hands-on experience with automated build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and security testing integrations
  • Possess exceptional communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences
  • Have a high level of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Comply with IAT II Certification
  • Be a US Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison, articulating complex technical concepts to developers with varying levels of experience
  • Align technical teams with BMC3 platform objectives by fostering clear and effective communication
  • Onboard space software applications to the BMC3 Application Software Factory
  • Secure AWS Cloud and Kubernetes platforms, enabling development teams to deliver approved features with a focus on robust security measures
  • Train and educate application vendors on Certificate to Field processes, best practices, and operational requirements
  • Guide vendors in securely deploying, operating, and maintaining their applications within the factory ecosystem
  • Maintain source control/documentation systems with fully automated containerized build processes for multiple environments
  • Ensure processes are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Establish the capability to securely and rapidly field mission applications
  • Contribute to the overall JADC2 mission through secure and scalable system design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have expertise in integrating security scanners for continuous build processes and containers
  • Have experience with security automation tools, including SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing)
  • Have experience automating testing processes within continuous integration (CI) environments
  • Have a proven understanding of compiled software build processes
  • Possess strong capabilities in system and service configuration management
  • Have skill in release management, ensuring successful transitions from Development and Testing to Staging and Production environments
  • Be able to collaborate with software developers, production teams, and information security personnel to automate and support cloud-based infrastructure and tooling
  • Be able to work closely with all stakeholders to drive secure and efficient development lifecycle processes
