Dapps Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

Join Decentraland, a leading metaverse platform, as a full-stack engineer to contribute to the development of innovative 3.0 web applications (dApps). You will be part of a remote-friendly team, building and improving tools for the metaverse. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes ownership, and enjoys solving complex problems. You will work with a modern tech stack, including TypeScript, React, Redux, NodeJS, and various blockchain technologies. Requirements

• Have experience working with React, Redux and extensive knowledge in but not limited to TypeScript/JavaScript
• Have experience working with NodeJS and SQL based DBs
• Be able to understand existing products, refactor and scale them
• Have experience building, publishing and maintaining software in production environments

Responsibilities

• Develop new features, iterate fast, and create innovative solutions to complex problems
• Deal with existing code and products to make them more efficient, scalable, performant and maintainable
• Interact with other teams and stakeholders to understand the short, medium and long term platform goals and bring them to life
• Identify problems and bottlenecks and create innovative solutions for them

Preferred Qualifications

• Have familiarity with blockchain-based technologies
• Have familiarity with 3D modeling and game engine technologies like Babylon, Unity, Unreal, Bevi, Godot, etc
• Have familiarity with building graphs, subsquids or substreams
• Have experience using Electron
• Have built a Smart Contract using Solidity or Vyper
• Have built an app (any tool, dApp, etc.) for fun or motivated by a personal frustration
• Have experience working on a distributed team spread across several time zones
