Data Analyst

Summary

Join Lightcast as a data-driven individual with specific language expertise to help expand our global product features. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) independent contractor position for up to 9 months, requiring a personal laptop. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality data delivery to clients. The position involves analyzing and improving data quality of multilingual text classifiers, working with linguistics and engineering teams, and translating taxonomies. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. The role demands proficiency in data analysis, rule writing, and query languages.

Requirements

• Competency in reading and writing Hebrew
• Understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages
• Microsoft Excel experience (including vlookups, data cleanup, and functions)
• Knowledge of query languages such as SQL
• Advanced knowledge of rule writing using RegEx
• Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles
• Experience with data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python
• High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous work
• Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity and work independently
• Superb sense of urgency and time management
• Reliable laptop and internet access

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve data quality of multilingual text classifiers
• Work with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages
• Translate various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP or similar
• Knowledge of other languages
