Data Analyst

Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL) as a Data Analyst in a 100% remote contract/consultant position! You will be responsible for managing and validating large datasets used for risk modeling and financial analysis. This role requires close collaboration with the Data Team Lead and other departments to ensure data integrity and security. The position demands excellent English communication skills and proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and VBA. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience in data engineering or finance are preferred. WBL offers 11 paid US holidays and compensation determined by experience.

Requirements

• 100% fluency in English , with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Finance
• Needs to have advanced SQL, Power BI and VBA experience
• Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update databases that store key financial and operational data. Ensure that data is structured efficiently for use in credit risk models and financial forecasting
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially the econometric analysts and data engineers, to ensure that data flows smoothly between departments
• Manage the collection and intake of large datasets from various sources. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of incoming data by conducting thorough validation checks
• Provide accurate data to the econometric analysts and assist in transforming raw data into valuable insights for risk models and forecasting reports

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in data engineering, finance, or related roles
• Familiarity with data security practices
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
