Summary
Join Agile Defense as a Data Architect Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS) in enhancing its Enterprise Services capabilities. This remote role, with occasional on-site requirements in Clarksburg, WV, centers on designing scalable and secure data solutions within a SAFe Agile framework. Responsibilities include translating business and technical needs into data architecture, setting data standards, and ensuring system integration. The ideal candidate possesses extensive expertise in data modeling, governance, and engineering best practices, collaborating with Agile teams on iterative development and strategic data initiatives. A Secret clearance is required. Travel costs for remote work are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- A bachelorโs or masterโs degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field, preferred
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including large-scale data environments such as data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), particularly for data storage, processing, and analytics
- Demonstrated two (2) years of experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful project execution
