Summary
Join the team at Trace3, a leading Transformative IT Authority, and discover the possibilities that live in technology. As a Data Center Administrator, you will manage day-to-day operations, lead local resources, and provide initial configuration of resources supporting the data center function.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in project management within a technical environment
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing data center technical operations
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data center operations, including 'smart hands' tasks and technician-level work desired
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and coordinating technical resources within a data center environment
- Experience in designing and implementing data center environments and solutions is preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, reporting, and project management skills
- Must be customer-centric and work under aggressive timelines
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and assign work based on priority, skillset, and availability of data center resources, vendors, and OEMs
- Ensure the quality of work meets system functional specifications based on the analysis of techniques and procedures aligned to the hardware/software supported through consultation or review with clients
- Facilitate installation or decommissioning of all types of enterprise infrastructure equipment, and develop documentation regarding the physical schematics leveraged to ensure appropriate testing and maintenance for the systems and hardware
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for onsite data center technicians, providing guidance and next steps for complex issues
- Provide timely and accurate communications to stakeholders, including overall status, health, and business benefits tracking for programs and projects
- Ensure data center workspace cleanliness by establishing and enforcing cleanliness standards
