Data Engineer and Analyst

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Analyst with a focus on Snowflake and Tableau
• Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning in Snowflake
• Proficiency in designing and developing ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Experience in data modeling, schema design, and optimization in Snowflake
• Hands-on experience with Tableau for creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable ETL processes using Snowflake, ensuring data quality and integrity
• Develop and optimize data models and schemas in Snowflake for efficient querying and storage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide insights to stakeholders
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize performance of data pipelines and Tableau dashboards
• Implement best practices in data governance, security, and privacy
• Document data processes, data flows, and data dictionaries for reference and reproducibility
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Snowflake and Tableau
• Experience with other BI tools or programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies
