Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a data / software engineering role with a solid understanding of modern data warehousing and software development approaches and best practices
  • 3+ years’ experience with Python
  • 3+ years’ experience building products, solutions, and tools to provide data to company-wide systems and use cases
  • 3+ years’ experience in ETL development and SQL optimization
  • 1+ years’ experience of API, services, and/or application development
  • 1+ years’ experience automating cloud infrastructure, eg Terraform
  • 1+ years’ experience implementing CI/CD
  • 1+ years’ experience developing RAG models and infrastructure
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong personal organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on 3-5 concurrent projects
  • Cloud Infrastructure/Orchestration/Docker experience required

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain key infrastructure supporting decisions across Appfire
  • Advocate for and implement best practices surrounding our development process, including automation, testing, and CI/CD
  • Contribute to the development of RAG models and infrastructure
  • Develop and deploy monitoring solutions and governance strategies to ensure that the right data is available on time and to the correct audience
  • Build strategic relationships with business, analytics, and engineering teams to build robust and scalable solutions to complex problems involving Appfire’s central data assets
  • Work closely with both internal and external partners to stand up new data delivery solutions (APIs, services, webhooks, etc.)
  • Be a key driver to the evolution of our data lake/warehouse (AWS/Snowflake)
  • Be a subject matter expert on our data, tech stack, tools, and data infrastructure
  • Drive UAT efforts with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their business requirements
  • Help carry out proof of concepts for new tools and/or processes
  • Write and leverage knowledge base articles to document procedures and reports
  • Stay on the forefront of the rapidly evolving Data landscape to ensure the team leverages best-in-class technologies and methodologies, allowing us to scale quickly and securely

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS/Airflow/Terraform experience preferred
  • Snowflake/DBT experience preferred
