Data Engineer

Summary

Competera is seeking a Data Engineer to improve their data processing. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a data engineer role, strong SQL knowledge, basic Python skills, and experience optimizing SQL queries. They should also be familiar with Cloud platforms. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineer role
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Basic knowledge of core Python
• Experience in optimizing SQL queries
• Familiarity with Cloud

Responsibilities

• Support existing ETL pipelines (SQL, Python, GCP stack)
• Add new entities to datasets
• Optimize existing bottlenecks (query performance etc.) and close existing tech debt
• Answer data-related questions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building data pipelines, ETL design
• Apache Spark will be a big plus
• Databricks platform
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow
• Experience with different SQL/NoSQL databases (PostreSQL, ClickHouse, etc.)
