You will support and improve existing ETL pipelines, add new data entities, optimize performance, and answer data-related questions. The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL skills, Python experience, and cloud familiarity. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data engineer role
- Strong SQL knowledge: your SQL queries are to be efficient and self-explanatory (this will be the biggest part of work)
- Basic knowledge of core Python, followed by hands-on experience with it
- Experience in optimizing SQL queries
- Familiarity with Cloud
- English level - Upper-intermediate +
Responsibilities
- Support existing ETL pipelines (SQL, Python, GCP stack)
- Add new entities to datasets
- Optimize existing bottlenecks (query performance etc.) and close existing tech debt
- Answer data-related questions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building data pipelines, ETL design
- Apache Spark will be a big plus
- Databricks platform
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow
- Experience with different SQL/NoSQL databases (PostreSQL, ClickHouse, etc.)
