Summary
Join Mindera as a Data Engineer to build, maintain, and scale big data platforms. Collaborate with the Data Science team to automate data science models for production. This role offers the chance to leverage various tools for data analysis and business decision-making. Requirements
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a Data Engineer role
- Technical Languages: Python, Shell Script
- Experience with Azure Databricks
- Knowledge of Object-oriented Programming languages
- Advanced experience with Data Modelling such as Kimball techniques
- Advanced experience with Data Warehouse Design
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, as well as familiarity with one or more cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
- Experience with DBT (data build tool)
- Experience with Spark
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation
- Experience with source control, Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment through CI Pipelines
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Building and optimizing ETL / ELT data pipelines using Modern Data Stack tools
- Implementing/supporting new data solutions in the data lake/warehouse built on the Snowflake
- Developing and designing data pipelines using Python
- Designing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
- Performing Data Modelling using downstream requirements
- Developing transformation scripts using advanced SQL and DBT
- Designing dimensional data models using the Kimball approach for the Data Warehouse
- Writing test cases/scenarios to ensure incident-free production release
- Collaborating closely with data analysts, BI and different domains such as Finance, risk, compliance, product and engineering to fulfil requirements
- Debugging production and development issues and providing support to colleagues where necessary
- Performing data quality checks to ensure the quality of the data exposed to the end users
- Building strong relationships with team, peers and stakeholders
- Contributing to overall data platform implementation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Airflow, Docker and CI/CD would be preferable
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks is beneficial, but not required
