Data Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Data Engineer Intern at NinjaHoldings. The intern will work with a team of analytics and machine learning experts to build tooling for analytics, extend the machine learning platform, expand and optimize the data pipeline architecture, and interface with the Development team to create cross-team solutions. The ideal candidate has experience as a software engineer and data wrangler, enjoys optimizing data systems, and is comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

Requirements

• Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• Basic understanding of relational database concepts

Responsibilities

• Maintain and augment data pipeline architecture
• Building and maintaining warehouse data models implemented using DBT
• Building reports for business teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Database management knowledge such as backups and performance tuning concepts
• Python programming
• Basic AWS infrastructure knowledge
• Experience using DBT
