We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer AWS to support our clients in developing and implementing innovative data solutions. Requirements
- Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in computer science, mathematics, business informatics, information systems, or another quantitative field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the data environment, e.g., as a Data Engineer or AI Engineer
- Negotiation-level German skills to comprehensively advise our clients
- Professional experience with the following technologies/tools: Big data tools: Spark, Elastic/OpenSearch, Hadoop, Kafka, Kinesis, etc
- Knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL or Postgres and DynamoDB or Cassandra
- Secure knowledge of AWS cloud data services: Kinesis, EMR, Redshift, Glue, Athena, etc
- Functional and scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala, etc
- Experience in the development and optimization of big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and operate a highly scalable and secure data infrastructure that enables the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources using SQL, cloud migration tools, and big data cloud technologies
- Ensure compliance with and adherence to compliance and security policies throughout the entire data lifecycle
- Optimize the data pipeline for ingestion, storage, processing, and querying of various data types, including real-time events, IoT data, and unstructured data such as images, audio, video, and documents
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leadership, product, data, software development, and design teams, to solve data-related technical challenges and continuously adapt the data platform to business requirements
- Provide technical support and consulting to clients and internal stakeholders regarding the data platform and its usage
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to continuously improve and expand the data platform
