Remote Data Engineer

Summary

Join our Data Engineering team at SAVii and contribute to transforming lives everyday by developing and managing curated datasets, key business metrics, and reporting. As a data engineer, you will architect and implement data models and #ETLs for reporting, working cross-functionally with other teams across Savii.

Requirements

• 5-8 Years data proficiency of SQL querying and ETL jobs
• Experience with DBT or Airflow
• Experience with data warehouse technology - big query, redshift etc
• Proficiency using Google Sheets, meta base or similar BI visualization tools
• Experience using Python, Airflow, other scripting languages to automate data retrieval, manipulation and analysis
• Curiosity and strong ability to drive insights from data – synthesizing not only what is happening by why it is happening
• Work well in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly-changing environment
• Experience on data modeling and workflow
• Experience on the deployment of data pipelines
• Experience on infrastructure maintenance
• Experience on access management, data security and compliance
• Experience with Github or Bitbucket

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage curated datasets, key business metrics, and reporting
• Architect and implement data models and #ETLs for reporting
• Ingestion of data from various source (MySQL, PostGres, MongoDB, etc) to BigQuery Data Lake then further transforming data using DBT for reporting purpose
