Data Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Data Engineer at Sword Health, a fast-growing healthcare startup. The role involves creating and delivering client reports based on data warehouse snapshots, working closely with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to align requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in a data reporting role, for at least 2 years minimum
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract data from the data warehouse for client reports
• Maintain our Reporting framework and adding features to it (new layout capabilities)
• Create and automate the delivery of data snapshots
• Communicate complex technical processes and requirements clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Work closely with the Customer Success Manager to understand the reporting needs and ensure accurate alignment with their requirements
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and snapshots provided to clients
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data extraction, transformation, and delivery
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize and improve data reporting processes
• Maintain thorough documentation of all processes and procedures related to client reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt and airflow are a plus
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus
• Comfortable with Customer Facing meetings
• Capability of translating technical conversations to non-technical stakeholders
