Data Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Data Engineer on contract basis, remote work is allowed. The required qualifications include a technical degree and 1-4 years' experience as a Data Engineer (5-10 years for senior data engineer), deep knowledge of Python, SQL, and PySpark, experience with data pipelines, architecture principles, batch and stream processing systems, and DataOps, and experience working with large data sets and Azure cloud services. Preferred qualifications include programming experience in Python, Scala, C, C++, Java.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related Technical Discipline
• 1-4 years’ experience in Data Engineer role (5-10 years for senior data engineer)
• Deep knowledge of Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Experience working with large data sets, Azure cloud services including Azure Data Lake, Data factory, Databricks, Azure DevOps
• Agile experience: Experience working in an AI startup environment or organizations with an agile culture

Responsibilities

Experience working with data pipelines, architecture principles, batch and stream processing systems, and DataOps

Preferred Qualifications

Background in programming in Python, Scala, C, C++, Java is beneficial
