Join Uberall's Data Platform team as a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust ELT pipelines on Databricks and AWS. You will work with large-scale datasets, collaborating with product teams and engineers to ensure data infrastructure accuracy and scalability. This hands-on role involves leveraging PySpark, SQL, and Delta Live Tables to process data stored in S3 buckets. You will monitor pipeline performance, implement data quality checks, and contribute to the evolution of the data lake architecture. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in a similar role, strong expertise in Databricks and PySpark, and experience with data lakes and S3-based storage. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role working with distributed data systems
• Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and writing efficient SQL for large-scale transformations
• Experience working with data lakes, Delta Lake, and S3-based storage in a production environment
• Proficiency with ELT design patterns and building production-grade data pipelines
• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Delta Live Tables, Airflow, or similar
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake
• Leverage Databricks and Delta Live Tables to orchestrate and optimize data workflows across structured and semi-structured datasets
• Manage data storage and access on AWS S3, ensuring data is partitioned, versioned, and cataloged effectively
• Monitor and improve pipeline performance, cost, and reliability through efficient data modeling and job scheduling
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to understand data needs and deliver clean, consistent datasets for reporting
• Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure high standards of accuracy and completeness
• Contribute to the evolution of our data lake architecture and advocate for best practices in data engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, or data cataloging tools (e.g., AWS Glue Catalog)
• Background in building real-time or near-real-time data ingestion systems
