Summary

Join WRS Health, a leading provider of cloud-based EMR and practice management solutions, as a Data Engineer. This role requires a strong background in data transformation, database management, and programming to ensure data integrity and efficiency across systems. You will perform data transformation, clean-up, extraction, and other data management activities, administer and manage databases, design and maintain ETL processes, utilize Python and BASH scripting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python programming, BASH scripting, and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with ETL workflows and tools
  • Strong knowledge of database administration, including schema design, query optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience in data transformation, cleaning, and extraction techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform data transformation, clean-up, extraction, and other data management activities to ensure accuracy and usability
  • Administer and manage databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and workflows
  • Utilize Python programming and BASH scripting to automate processes and streamline operations
  • Execute and monitor database administrative functions, such as backup, recovery, and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related requirements and solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with AWS tools, including managing and organizing data using S3, creating data visualizations and dashboards in Quicksight, and utilizing ETL-related AWS services like Glue, Athena, and Redshift
