Requirements

  • Have had previous experiences in Data Engineering, ideally in scale-up environments (4-5 years)
  • Have at least 2 years of experience managing Data Engineers
  • Are seasoned working with Python and cloud technologies (ideally AWS)
  • Are looking for a hands-on management role (around 50%)
  • Are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders beyond the data team
  • Like being challenged and solving complex problems (accounting is complex in Europe)
  • Have strong communication skills and are capable of articulating your ideas clearly
  • Are Fluent in English - French is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Contribute technically to the design and implementation of data solutions (streaming, ETL, etc)
  • Work hand in hand with data scientists and analysts to tailor analytics and machine learning solutions to their needs
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure the highest impact and quality of data engineering work, as well as the best atmosphere and motivation in the team
  • Grow your team continuously, and team up with other managers to set up the right culture and processes to enable people
  • Work closely with software engineers - the most critical data producers - to guarantee data quality and integrity, and promote a culture where data is seen as a production system
