As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting business decisions, building data processing workflows, maintaining data pipelines, and developing analytical products. You'll collaborate with the Data Science team and contribute to data cataloging. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, relevant experience, and proficiency in data engineering technologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in data engineering/analyst and related fields with at least 6 months in designing highly scalable Data warehouses
  • Mandatory required high proficiency in ETL, SQL and database management
  • Experience with AWS services like Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, S3
  • Hands-on understanding of AWS services like EC2, RDS, DMS
  • Python programming experience using data libraries like pandas, numpy, scipy etc
  • Interest in machine learning, logistic regression and emerging solutions for data analytics
  • You are comfortable working without direct supervision on outcomes that have a direct impact on the business
  • You are curious about the data and have a desire to ask "why?"

Responsibilities

  • Support business and operation teams on making better data driven decisions by ingesting new data sources and creating intuitive dashboards
  • Build new data processing workflows to extract data from core systems for analytic products
  • Maintain and improve existing data processing workflows
  • Contribute to optimizing and maintaining the production data pipelines, including system and process improvements
  • Contribute to the development of analytical products and dashboards with integration of internal and third-party data sources/ APIs
  • Collaborate with Data Science team in the delivery and iteration of new ML/AI models
  • Contribute to cataloguing and documentation of data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Fintech, online Lending industry with European operation
  • Awareness or Hands-on experience with ML-AI implementation or ML-Ops
  • Experience with Step function, SQS, EMR or Snowflake preferred
  • Certification in AWS foundation
