Data Integrations Consultant

Summary

Join Modern Campus as a Data Integrations Consultant for a 12-month contract position! You will be responsible for service delivery of data integrations between Modern Campus’ solutions and clients' Student Information Systems (SIS). Define and refine integration project scopes, manage projects and changes, discover and align data and business rules, and document client environments. Work in a lean-agile services process, serving as the primary point of contact for scheduling, scope confirmation, documentation, and material delivery. Establish a deep understanding of Modern Campus software and services, perform end-to-end data mappings, document client business rules, and determine communication relationships between SIS and Modern Campus applications. Drive data discovery, create data dictionaries, build user stories for engineers, troubleshoot integrations, guide clients through change control, perform testing, and provide data cleansing opportunities. Provide client support until project completion.

Requirements

• University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or relevant work experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Integration role
• Strong knowledge of Student Information Systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for scheduling, scope confirmation, documentation and delivering and/or receiving materials of integration projects from clients
• Establish and maintain a deep understanding of Modern Campus software and professional services offerings
• Work with clients to perform end-to-end data mappings between Modern Campus products and the client’s SIS, building a data dictionary
• Document client business rules applicable to the SIS environment
• Determine the synchronous/asynchronous communication relationship between the SIS and Modern Campus application
• Drive data discovery efforts and creation of the data dictionary that defines the client’s customized environment and all data requirements between systems
• Create user stories based on data discovery efforts for engineer to build integration plug-in
• Troubleshoots integration configuration, SQL, CSV, XML, JSON data as anticipatory measures for data and communication impediments
• Guide clients using a change control process to minimize project scope creep
• Performs pretest, creates test plan for user acceptance testing for the client, and reviews and documents testing errors and process
• Provide clients with data cleansing opportunities as a result of the data discovery process
• Responsible for serving as a resource answering questions related to the client projects
• Provide client support until activation and completion of the project

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in end of end data mapping desired on integration projects
• Previous experience in higher education

• The salary range* for this full-time position is between $60,000 - $100,000
