Join Global Fishing Watch as a consultant to conduct research on national and international vessel tracking policy, best practices, and data protection. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on national and international vessel tracking policy
• Develop best practices for addressing data protection and privacy concerns related to vessel tracking
• Produce a report detailing the research and steps taken to develop provisions, including a summary of best practice provisions and relevant precedents
• Develop two versions of legal provisions that address personal data protection concerns, including explanations of their effects
• Provide a summary of how the deliverables will be completed
• List all staff members working on the commission
• Specify the percentage of total cost expected per deliverable
• Provide a CV and example of previous written work
• Provide a timeline including expected delivery dates, payment points, and key time points for document review
• Provide a budget breakdown detailing costs for deliverables 1 and 2, including work days, day rates, costs of external workshops, etc
