They are seeking a remote Data Quality & Profiling Analyst with 2-3 years of data management experience and good knowledge of data profiling tools and analytical methods. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing and deciphering data using statistical techniques, performing data analytics, and evaluating the quality of data. They will also contribute to the development of migration rules and create data scorecards within Information Steward. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, information management, or statistics
- 2-3 years of data management experience
- Good knowledge of data profiling tools and analytical methods
- Experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinker who can optimally identify, fix and solve problems
Responsibilities
- Analyze and decipher data using statistical techniques
- Perform data analytics, evaluate the quality of the data, identify and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
- Participate in data analysis, as well as in the design of data and mapping requirements
- Work with SMEs and business representatives to understand current data and define the appropriate mapping; resolving discrepancies during data definition as well as providing testing support
- Contribute to the development of the migration rules, documenting these rules, developing user test cases for migration test runs, testing the rules during the migration runs
- Collect and formulate business requirements via interviews and user discussions
- Document functional requirements, business processes, use-cases and other project artifacts
- Write, execute and debug SQL queries to confirm data completeness, correctness, data transformation and data quality testing
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Business Intelligence platforms and visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, OBIEE, Looker, Business Objects, QlikView)
