Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python programming language and associated libraries (such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn)
• Experience with NLP libraries such as NLTK or spaCy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in understanding project requirements and objectives in collaboration with the data science team
• Aid in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks to prepare data for analysis
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data engineering solutions to optimize data pipelines and workflows
• Refactor existing codebase to improve efficiency, readability, and maintainability
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights in tax documents
• Support in building and fine-tuning machine learning models for predictive analytics and classification tasks
• Assist in the deployment and testing of machine learning models in production environments
• Document work processes, methodologies, and results effectively
