Summary

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Python for data analysis and machine learning modeling
  • Hands-on experience with common ML libraries and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical techniques including supervised/unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and A/B testing
  • Experience deploying ML models into production and maintaining them
  • Proficiency in writing clean, reproducible, production-grade code
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and experience working with structured and unstructured data from relational databases and/or data lakes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders clearly and effectively
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, engineering, and business units
  • Experience with version control (Git) and agile development practices

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ML models for business needs like forecasting, recommendation systems, pricing, and churn
  • Perform EDA to identify trends, anomalies, and relationships in the data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define problems, success metrics, and data needs
  • Build scalable and maintainable ML workflows and ensure smooth model deployment
  • Monitor model performance and retrain when needed to ensure reliability
  • Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate models
  • Mentor junior team members and promote data science best practices
  • Contribute to internal standards on testing, reproducibility, and documentation
  • Stay current with advances in ML and AI to bring new ideas to the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with recommendation systems, dynamic pricing algorithms, or customer segmentation techniques
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated data/ML services
  • Knowledge of Docker, Airflow (or similar, e.g: prefect), MLflow or similar tools
  • Familiarity with ML observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Evidently, WhyLabs, Prometheus + Grafana)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for ML systems
  • Knowledge of Poetry or uv
