Data Scientist

Summary

The job is for a Data Governance professional with 7-15 years of experience. They will support Data Governance initiatives, build data pipelines, and provide ongoing ETL support. They should have proficiency in Python, SQL, and Jupyter/Colab notebooks, and a strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL unstructured and structured data. The role requires leading a data engineering team and working with cloud platforms like Azure/AWS and GCP.

Requirements

• Prior experience supporting Data Governance initiatives
• Experience in building dimensional data models to improve accessibility, efficiency and quality of data
• Proficiency in other software engineering languages and/or methodologies
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Jupyter/Colab notebooks
• Demonstrate the ability to translate business rules into ETL code while adhering to best ETL development and design practices
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL language, as well as working knowledge of common transformation methodologies, techniques, and tools
• 7-15 years experience in data science or data analytics
• Experience in leading, hiring, developing, and building data engineering team and providing them technical direction
• Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs, expertise in performance tuning of SQLs
• Demonstrate good understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure/AWS, and familiarity with GCP

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support for the existing ETL processes
• Build high quality applications, data pipelines and analytics solutions ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate should be willing to work onsite UAE when needed
