Data Solutions Engineer II, Remote - United Kingdom

Summary

The job is for an Integration Software Engineer at Axon, a company focused on protecting life through various safety and justice products. The role involves creating software integrations, enhancing the existing platform, and performing data tasks. The position is remote from the United Kingdom and reports to the Manager Architect, Software Services UK.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field, OR graduate of coding boot camp OR 3+ years of technical experience in related field
• Experience developing and maintaining production systems
• Great communication skills and experience liaising with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrable history of at least 5 years UK residency to gain required security clearance(s) and must maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
• Experience working with: JSON and XML
• High level of proficiency and experience in Python and/or C# programming
• Experience of all stages/ceremonies of both waterfall and agile software development lifecycles
• Familiarity with APIs and use of REST clients to perform tests (Postman, Insomnia, etc.)
• Familiarity working with YAML for purposes of configuring builds and releases
• Experience and understanding of deploying hardware agnostic software to cloud hosts
• Experience with PowerShell

Responsibilities

• Create and configure new software integrations that pull in data from clients’ key systems and/or push data to clients’ systems
• Enhance Axon’s existing platform
• Perform data extracts, transforms and loads into/from Axon’s public safety technology products
