Summary

The job is for a Data Steward Specialist at Leadtech, a digital business company. The role involves collaborating with tech leads and BI teams to ensure data integrity and quality, developing and maintaining data management standards, managing data quality, and participating in system integration projects. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a data management role, strong understanding of data management principles, leadership skills, knowledge of data management tools and technologies, excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a data management role, preferably in a business or IT environment
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and quality
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members
  • Deep knowledge of data management tools and technologies, such as relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), big data, ETL tools, and Master Data Management (MDM) platforms
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to efficiently identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with different levels of the organization and diverse stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Statistics, or related field; a postgraduate degree would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with BE Tech Leads, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure data integrity and quality
  • Collaborate with BI team and analysts to develop and maintain data management standards and policies
  • Define and maintain processes for data identification, cleansing, standardization, and enrichment
  • Manage and monitor data quality, identifying and addressing issues or inconsistencies
  • Develop and maintain a centralized data dictionary, documenting the structure, definitions, and relationships of datasets
  • Participate in system integration projects and data migration, ensuring data consistency and integrity throughout the process
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in data management, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), would be highly valued
