Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or analytics, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including relational databases, data warehousing, and ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL for querying and transforming data across large datasets
• Excellent analytical and storytelling skills to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
• Experience managing and mentoring teams, with strong leadership and project management abilities
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integrating data sources into visualization tools
• Knowledge of design principles and UX best practices to deliver intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written to present insights and recommendations effectively
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello for project management

Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage Data Visualization Projects: oversee end-to-end delivery of data visualization solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: guide and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, fostering growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Design and Develop Visualizations: create clear, impactful, and user-friendly dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: work closely with business leaders, data engineers, and analysts to understand business needs and provide effective visualization solutions
• Ensure Data Accuracy and Quality: Verify data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all visualizations, implementing best practices for data governance
• Drive Best Practices for Visualization Standards: Establish and enforce design principles, storytelling techniques, and visualization best practices for clarity and consistency
• Performance Optimization: Optimize dashboards and reporting tools for speed and efficiency, ensuring an excellent user experience
• Project Planning and Prioritization: Manage project timelines, priorities, and resource allocation to meet business objectives and deadlines
