Requirements

  • Be proficient in SQL Server administration tools and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure SQL Server instances and databases
  • Manage database security, including creating users and roles, assigning permissions, and implementing data encryption
  • Ensure database backups and recovery procedures are in place and working effectively
  • Optimize database performance by monitoring system resources, analyzing query execution plans, and fine-tuning indexes and database configurations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, such as locking and blocking, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks
  • Design and implement database replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades
  • Develop and implement database maintenance plans, including data archiving and data purging
  • Provide technical support and guidance to developers and end-users on database-related issues
  • Document and build database configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Review database-related code built by software teams

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
