Summary

Join our team as a Database Administrator/Data Engineer and play a crucial role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance databases for real-time trading operations. You will ensure low-latency data processing, scalability, and fault tolerance in a high-load environment. Responsibilities include implementing database replication strategies, monitoring query performance, collaborating with backend engineers, and ensuring data security. This role requires extensive experience with various databases, SQL optimization, and real-time data processing. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or Data Engineer
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in high-load, low-latency systems, preferably in crypto trading or fintech
  • Hands-on experience with database replication, partitioning, and sharding
  • Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and indexing strategies
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Understanding of data security best practices and compliance
  • Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
  • Fluent English (C1+), additional languages are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize high-performance relational and NoSQL databases for real-time trading operations
  • Ensure low-latency data processing, scalability, and fault tolerance in a high-load environment
  • Implement database replication, sharding, partitioning, and failover strategies
  • Monitor and optimize query performance, indexing, and storage efficiency
  • Work closely with backend engineers to develop scalable and resilient data architectures
  • Ensure security and compliance of financial transaction data
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data processing and analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with blockchain data structures and smart contract indexing
  • Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems
  • Previous work on trading platforms, DEXs, or CEXs
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, ClickHouse, etc)
