Summary

Join Cronos Europa as a Data-warehouse & Reporting Developer and work remotely with occasional visits to the Brussels office. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. Build and manage data pipelines, extracting data from various sources into efficient reporting models. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality. Implement and manage Power BI access control mechanisms. Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI datasets and reports. Document technical solutions thoroughly. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience, and the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree's + minimum 5 years of experience
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, and visualization best practices
  • Knowledge of integrating Power BI with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Oracle databases
  • Ability to implement and manage security features in Power BI such as Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace access, and data governance policies
  • Understanding of data modelling techniques, including star schema, normalization, and semantic layer design
  • Familiarity with version control best practices
  • Documentation skills, including technical design pecs, data lineage, and security configurations
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage business stakeholders and technical teams
  • English fluent (French will be an advantage)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on best practices in data visualization and user experience
  • Build and manage scalable data pipelines and queries to extract and transform data from Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Oracle databases into efficient and reusable reporting models
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define data requirements, model business logic, and ensure high-quality, validated data is presented in Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Implement and manage access control mechanisms for Power BI reports, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace permissions, to ensure proper protection of sensitive but non-classified (SNC) data in compliance with data governance policies
  • Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI datasets and reports, including performance tuning, data refresh strategies, and monitoring of data integrity and access issues
  • Document end-to-end technical solutions, including data architecture, data flows, and security configurations, ensuring transparency, maintainability, and traceability of Business Intelligence assets
