Summary

Join National Power, LLC as a DC Installer in our New Jersey territory! Under the direction of an Account Manager, you will assist a Level IV lead installer in working on DC power equipment, including adding and removing circuits on live power distribution. A 90-day probationary period is required to demonstrate proficiency. This role involves significant travel and requires physical capabilities for lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment. A high school diploma or GED, along with relevant experience in DC power equipment installation and telecom battery work, is necessary. A valid driver's license is also required.

Requirements

  • Travel approximately 100%
  • Work different shifts (swing shifts)
  • Consistently lift at least 40 lbs
  • Use a lifting technique to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
  • Push or pull cables up to 60 lbs
  • Climb ladders up to 8 ft
  • Work / stand on ladders for long periods of time
  • Stand continuously
  • Frequently reach above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bend, twist or stoop
  • Frequently crouch or squat
  • Be exposed to central office / cable office environment with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold
  • Work with computers that result in extensive exposure to Personal Computers (PC) and Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) screen
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in DC power equipment installation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience of the addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-equipment on DC power equipment or addition or removal of telecom batteries
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and MVR required

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by working with the lead installer to execute sales transactions which address and provide product / applications solutions to complex business issues
  • Perform work operations on working equipment or circuits with direct supervision from lead installer
  • Work with the lead installer on DC Power transition work (cut-over on live equipment)
  • Assist in the addition or removal of telecom batteries
  • Assist the lead installer in performing equipment testing and turn-up
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
  • Communicate with the lead installer on all aspects of the job throughout the duration of the job
  • Perform work assignments assigned by lead installer/supervisor
