Summary

The job description is for a Demand Planning and Inventory Analyst role at a cookware company. The employee will optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement. Requirements

  • 2-4 years + of proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Excel forecast modeling & ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain global demand & inventory forecasting models based on historical sales trends, demand drivers, & statistical analysis
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify trends to optimize inventory management, ensuring stock availability aligns with business needs
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key business metrics
  • Analyze demand & inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve inventory discrepancies, and recommend process enhancements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, and sales, to ensure the accuracy of demand forecasts and inventory availability
  • Track and monitor inventory shipments from the factory, ensuring timely updates and communication
  • Oversee and manage inventory allocation plans across a domestic and international fulfillment network, providing recommendations to optimize inventory positioning across our distribution channels
  • Review actual fulfillment center shipments against planned order projections to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory processes and procedures, contributing to overall operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry are a plus
