Summary

The DVTE Analyst is a role within Green Cell Consulting, LLC, reporting to the Project Manager. The analyst provides subject matter expertise for integrating tactical decision-making simulations into unit and formal school training programs. They operate and instruct on various DVTE simulations, assist in setting up the DVTE suite, and make recommendations for the best supporting models or software. The analyst also conducts pre-event tests, translates real world structures and orders to simulation databases, provides feedback to participants, maintains DVTE machines, and assists in reviewing classified material. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with a major in history, management, military science, political science or an equivalent area. Three years of experience in military training and education, knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships, five years of operational experience, and two years of DOD modeling and simulation experience are required. Strong communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to be a self-starter are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a major in history, management, military science, political science or equivalent area desired
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Completion of a military-level career school preferred, officer or NCO
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in military training and education
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the battalion/regiment or MAGTF command level
  • Minimum five years of operational experience in military operations
  • Direct participation in real-world operations is desired
  • Minimum two years of experience in DOD modeling and simulation events desired
  • Minimum two years conducting MAGTF exercises or joint/combined exercise analysis efforts desired
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise for integrating Tactical Decision-Making Simulations (TDS’s) and other Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) models and training capabilities into unit and formal school training programs
  • Operate and provide instruction on various DVTE simulations with respect to maneuver, aviation, fires, logistics, and intelligence operations
  • Assist and train designated personnel to set up the DVTE suite, develop scenarios, run the OPFOR, and control entities in the virtual environment
  • Determine which DVTE model, simulation, or software best supports Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP’s) and training objectives identified by the training audience request for support and make appropriate recommendations
  • Conduct pre-event tests and evaluation of supporting databases, and parametric data
  • Translate real world civilian, law enforcement and emergency response teams, non-combatant, Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s), enemy combatants, and friendly force structures, and designated exercise terrain into the simulation database to support an exercise or series of training events
  • Provide subject matter expertise in integration of various simulation systems in order to provide a comprehensive simulated exercise
  • Assist in collecting information from DVTE exercises and training classes for After Action Reviews
  • Provide feedback to exercise participants on their training and conduct post-event critique and analysis employing various after-action review systems
  • Maintain day to day upkeep of DVTE machines as well as help with DVTE machines software updates
  • Assist in reviewing classified material and recommends a lesser classification for use in events, models simulations, demonstrations, reports, and/or briefings
